🐑 After extensive research, we chose extra soft merino wool because it is truly sensitive skin-friendly and never itchy. Merino wool is often called the queen of wools, or more accurately, the Princess and the Pea of natural fibers. Its fibers are incredibly fine, which makes it possible to create dreadlock extensions that can comfortably touch your skin all day long.

🐑 Merino wool is light as air. Every dreadlock we make is about pencil thickness or even slightly thinner. Our goal is simple: not to put extra strain on your neck or spine. Merino wool dreadlocks are lightweight, comfortable, and easy to wear.

🐑 Merino wool is naturally resistant to stains and odors. You don’t need to wash your whole set often. Washing every 3 to 4 weeks is more than enough, usually when you take them out for rebraiding. Wear your dreadlocks loose for a few hours a day, or refresh them with a blow dryer on low heat.

Set of 20 double ended (DE) Earth wool dread set

Length: 17-20 inches

Thickness: 0.2-0.27 inches (5-7 mm) Pencil thin or slightly thinner to be comfy.

✔️ You only need to wash your wool dreadlocks every 3 to 4 weeks, usually when you take them out anyway. Thanks to the natural lanolin, merino wool is naturally stain-, and odor-resistant. It wicks moisture away and is highly breathable.

Why does this matter to you?

✔️ Because wool pulls sweat away from your scalp, helping prevent moisture buildup that can lead to odor causing bacteria. Your scalp can breathe freely, without the need for odor masking sprays or heavy products.

How to prevent odors?

✔️ Wear your wool dreadlocks loose for a few hours every day so both your dreads and your scalp can air out. After a workout or if you’ve been sweating, simply refresh your scalp with a blow dryer on low heat.

How to wash your hair while wearing a partial set?

✔️ Wash only the sections of your hair where no dreadlocks are braided in. Tie your wool dreadlocks up in a bun and, for extra protection, cover them with a shower cap to keep them dry.

✔️ Lean forward and wash your hair as usual using your favorite shampoo and conditioner.

✔️ Wool dreadlocks can be braided into hair that is at least 3 to 4 inches long. If your hair is shorter, don’t worry. A professional hairstylist can still braid them in securely for you.
