There are different finenesses of wool

What does this mean?

The diameter of wool fibers is measured in microns. The lower the number, the thinner the fiber, which means that your wool dread set is softer! For comparison, human hair is on average 70 microns thick.

Due to the incredibly thin, 19 microns diameter of the fibers, our dreadlock extensions felted from extra fine wool are more flexible, non-itchy, and provide a velvety soft feeling on the skin.

Our goal is to create incredibly soft, silky and comfortable temporary locks, so we make most of our dreadlock extensions from premium quality, extra fine merino wool. Plus we make thin locks, so it's easy to style, braid or make a bun.
