Extra fine merino dreads

Did you know that the fineness of wool is measured in microns?

The lower the number, the thinner the fibre, which means that your wool dread set is softer!
For comparison, human hair is on average 70 microns thick. Due to the incredibly thin, 19 microns diameter of the fibers, dreadlock extensions felted from extra fine wool are more flexible, they are non-itchy, and they provide a velvety soft feeling on the skin. Our goal is to create incredibly soft, silky and comfortable temporary locks, so we make most of our dreadlock extensions from premium quality, extra fine merino wool.
Plus we make thin locks, so it's easy to style, braid or make a bun.

How many dreadlocks do you need?

The number varies from person to person, but on average
🌟 10-20 wool dreads for a partial set
🌟 30-40 wool dreads for a mohawk, undercut or sidecut
🌟 50-70 wool dreads for a full head

Which type do you install, double ended or single ended hair extensions?

For ultimate comfort, we recommend the mix set for a full head. Single ended for the hairline and sensitive parts of your scalp. Double ended dreads for more, to add volume.
It means around 40-50 DE dreads and 20 SE dreads for a full head.

How long would you prefer to wear?

You're sure to find the length you're searching for, as our dreadlocks are available in 4 lengths:
🌟 12-15 inches (30-38 cm) - shoulder-armpit length
🌟 17.5-20 inches (45-50 cm) - mid-back length
🌟 20-24.5 inches (50-63 cm) - waist-hip length
🌟 27.5-30 inches (69-76 cm) - tailbone length

Did you know that wool dreadlocks are very easy to care for, contrary to myths?

As a natural material, wool is breathable and has dust and odour-repellent properties. It is usually best to uninstall after 4-6 weeks, depending on hair growth and the quality of the braiding. While you are wearing it, you only need to wash your scalp, not the whole set. This way you don't have to wait hours for it to dry, you can dry your hair roots on low heat with a hair dryer.
